TO BE RESCHEDULED: 13th Annual Caring With Karaoke
PRESS RELEASE: 2020 Caring With Karaoke Postponed to March 2021
The Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce has postponed this year’s Caring With Karaoke benefitting CASA for Children of Monmouth County, originally scheduled for September 9th, until March of 2021. The change was made due to ongoing challenges with COVID-19 and current limited restrictions on indoor gatherings. An event date will be shared when available. “For the safety of the staff, volunteers, and guests of the MRCC as well as CASA we felt the right decision was to move this event back to 2021 as opposed to looking at virtual options or an outdoor venue. The Stone Pony has been a fantastic partner to Caring With Karaoke and we look forward to working with them to create the best CWK yet in 2021,” commented Kevin Fenstermacher, the current event chair for Caring With Karaoke. “We will be announcing a new date for the event in the coming months and are excited to put this great event together to raise well needed funds for CASA and their mission.” Previously purchased tickets for Caring With Karaoke will still be valid and transferred over to 2021’s CWK as the event beneficiary will still be CASA for Children of Monmouth County. For questions on the status of a ticket purchase please contact the chamber offices at 732-462-3030 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Caring With Karaoke is an annual charity fundraising event hosted by the Young Professionals Group of Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce. Each year the YPG selects a local 501c3 non-profit organization to partner with as its beneficiary of the proceeds of the event. This year’s beneficiary (now 2021), CASA for Children of Monmouth County will be the 13th organization to have been selected. The Young Professionals Group is a committee of the Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce comprised of dedicated, energetic, and involved individuals age 40 and under who support the chamber and Monmouth County. In addition to planning Caring With Karaoke the committee also plans chamber networking events as well as educational events for professional development and leadership. CASA is central to fulfilling society’s most fundamental obligation by making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child’s right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect and learn to grow in the safe embrace of a loving family. Every day in this country, 1,900 children become victims of abuse or neglect, and four of them will die. Every day. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children is a network of 951 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities. Volunteer advocates—empowered directly by the courts—offer judges the critical information they need to ensure that each child’s rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care. The Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose mission is to promote business, enhance economic development, and serve as a catalyst for improving the overall quality of like in our communities. Our vision is to provide opportunities for business growth and prosperity, to offer quality service to members and to serve as a resource leader for business and the community.
