\nCaring With Karaoke is an annual charity fundraising event hosted by the Young Professionals Group of Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce. Each year the YPG selects a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to partner with as its beneficiary of the proceeds of the event. This year?s beneficiary\, CASA for Children of Monmouth County will be the 13^th \;organization to have been selected. The Young Professionals Group is a committee of the Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce composed of dedicated\, energetic\, and involved individuals aged 40 and under who support the chamber and Monmouth County. In addition to planning Caring With Karaoke the committee also plans chamber networking events as well as educational events for professional development and leadership.

\nCASA is central to fulfilling society?s most fundamental obligation by making sure a qualified\, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child?s right to be safe\, to be treated with dignity and respect and learn to grow in the safe embrace of a loving family.

\nEvery day in this country\, 1\,900 children become victims of abuse or neglect\, and four of them will die. Every day. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children is a network of 951 community-based programs that recruit\, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities. Volunteer advocates?empowered directly by the courts?offer judges the critical information they need to ensure that each child?s rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care.

\nProceeds from the event will be used to expand CASA services to train at least 18-28 new volunteers who will serve at least 25-35 never before served children.
