New Jersey: A History of the Garden State presents a fresh\, comprehensive overview of New Jersey's history from the prehistoric era to the present. The book explores New Jersey's rich Native American heritage\, complex colonial history\, role in the American Revolution\, debates over slavery\, role in industrialization and technological advancements\, urbanization\, social and political tension\, and role in immigration. Featured speakers include Maxine Lurie\,  Paul Israel\, Larry Greene\, and Brian Greenberg. \n\nProgram is free and open to all but registration is strongly recommended.
